Singapore IP Law not only embodies a mix of English/European, Australian and American concepts of IP protection, it has some features which are uniquely Singaporean.

This book aims to help practicing lawyers (both in and outside of Singapore) and law students navigate through this complex IP landscape. The title provides the reader with the fundamentals of the major IP rights in Singapore – Copyright and related rights (registered designs, performers'' rights); Trade Marks (passing off and the Trade Marks Act); Patents; Trade Secrets and other Confidential Information– including the following:

• the international and regional dimensions relevant to Singapore (e.g. the WTO/TRIPS Agreement; the ASEAN IP Action Plan; the 2003 US-Singapore Free Trade Agreement); 
• the IP story of Singapore: how its IP infrastructure grew from the early days of nationhood in 1965 to reach its current ''TRIPS-plus'' status;
• the substantive law relating to the IP rights (e.g. the criteria for its subsistence; ownership; infringement; defences; enforcement; commercial exploitation).
