Chen Siyuan has been researching and teaching in SMU since 2010, specialising in evidence and procedural law. He graduated from NUS in 2007 with First Class honours and served as a Justices’ Law Clerk and an Assistant Registrar before embarking on his LLM at Harvard on an SMU scholarship. He has published in leading peer-reviewed journals in his field and directs SMU’s International Moots Programme. His works have been cited by the Supreme Court of Singapore and the Law Commission of England & Wales.
Lionel Leo is a Partner at WongPartnership LLP where he practises civil litigation and arbitration. An active participant in the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme, he has been appointed amicus curiae by the Supreme Court on several occasions. Lionel graduated with First Class Honours from NUS and with Distinction from Oxford, and topped the Law of Evidence in NUS. Prior to joining practice, he was a Justices’ Law Clerk and an Assistant Registrar.
