Cheah Foo Seong has had over 30 years of experience in corporate and secretarial practice and has also been a highly sought trainer and speaker on company law and practices for professional bodies. He has published extensively on corporate governance issues, management and regulatory matters in both local and international journals.

A Chartered Secretary and a fellow member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA), he was the Technical Director of MAICSA from 1995 to 2000 where he embarked upon the establishment and development of MAICSA's Technical and Research Department. He was appointed Consultant in 1999, and elected President in 2011. 

He is also the General Editor of The Annotated Malaysian Companies Act 2016, the author of A Practical Guide for Company Directors in Malaysia and the co-author of Company Meetings and Resolutions, all published by Thomson Reuters.
